After heavy fighting, the Belgian Carabiniers and Grenadiers are able to take the ruins of the village of Passchendaele. After this, the offensive continues towards Moorslede and Roeselare.

In order to remember the efforts made by the Carabiniers-Grenadiers, a ceremony will be held on Saturday 28 September fjrom 4 to 5 PM on the market square of Passchendaele. The ceremony is free of access, no registration needed.

After the ceremony, a fundraising football match is organised at 6.30 PM at FC Passendale. A team of the battalion Carabiniers Prins Boudewijn – Grenadier from Lombardsijde will compete against a local composed team. Will you come and cheer for them? The entrance is at € 5,00. All money raised goes entirely to the project “caring neighborhoods” at Zonnebeke.
