Passchendaele Archives

With ‘The Passchendaele Archives Database’ the research centre of the Passchendaele Museum aims at adding a face and a story to those who gave their lives during the First World War and the Battle of Passchendaele. They no longer only will be a name on a wall of missed in action or on a tombstone, but hence they shall have their own discernible spot in the landscape.

Would you have a relative or a link with a soldier who died during the First World War in general or during the Battle of Passchendaele specific? A file is started on the basis of a questionnaire and possibly additional documentation such as letters and photographs. The museum investigates for you what exactly happened on that fatal day.
