Information
The Belgian federal government intends to increase the VAT rate for the tourism sector to 12%. This measure also applies to admission tickets for museums and is expected to come into effect on 1 March 2026*.
What does this mean for you?
This VAT increase will automatically apply to all payments made from 1 March 2026* onwards, regardless of when the reservation was made. This means there may be a difference between the original amount and the amount legally applicable from 1 March 2026*.
Our advice: book and pay before 1 March 2026
To protect you from this additional cost, we recommend that you settle your current booking in full before 1 March. In that case, the current VAT rate of 6% will remain applicable and no supplement will be charged.
How to proceed?
Please let us know by 25 February 2026 whether you agree to early payment. Once we have received your confirmation, we will issue the invoice promptly so that you can complete the payment in time.
