On Saturday 1 April, staff from the Sir John Monash Centre, Australian National Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux, will give a lecture on the Australian experience on the Western Front.
Meet the key sites of the Australian Remembrance Trail. Sites that play a crucial role in Australia’s memory of World War I. Through personal stories, combined with historical images and film, you will be immersed in the history of World War I as Australians lived it.
The Sir John Monash Centre’s presentation at our museum gives the public the opportunity to learn more about the Australian way of remembering, Australian operations in northern France and Belgium and their impact on the Australian nation.
Australia continues to remember its soldiers and wants to share its history with you.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk with snacks and drinks.
