About the Passchendaele Magazine
The Passchendaele Magazine is the historical journal of the Passchendaele Museum, featuring accessible and well-researched articles on the First World War, with particular focus on the Battle of Passchendaele and the war heritage in and around Zonnebeke.
Each issue offers new insights from historical research, personal stories of soldiers and civilians drawn from the Passchendaele Archives, interpretation of the landscape as a final witness to the war, and the stories behind unique objects from the museum collection. In this way, it provides a deeper understanding of the events of the First World War and the traces it has left in the Ypres Salient.
The Passchendaele Magazine thus forms a bridge between academic research and a wider audience with an interest in the history of the First World War. The articles are available to researchers, students and all those with a keen interest in the subject.
The Passchendaele Magazine is published twice a year (June and December) and is available for € 10.00 in the museum shop and online.
All editions can also be consulted in the library of the research centre. The research centre is open from Monday to Thursday between 13:00 and 16:30. Please make an appointment in advance via +32 (0)51 77 04 41 or via kenniscentrum@zonnebeke.be.
