| To the sons that lost their lives, I will remember you as a father. To the fathers who have lost their lives,I will remember you as a son. I am 40 years old and still tears come to my eyes when I think of the horor. Currently I am learning to play the bugle so that I can visit these cemeteries with my kids and honour them properly. Every day when I play, I think of them. |

| My grandfather Alexander Singleton,fought in World War 1 and was wounded in the Passchendaele area-maybe at Passchendale itself. The History Channel in Canada recently filmed a documentary about him and will air on Rememberance Day November 11,2008. |
